Along the River Wenning (8-mile easy walk)

Starting from High Bentham, situated south of Ingleton between the Lune Valley and the Yorkshire Dales, this walk goes east and slightly south out to Ridding Lane, under the Bentham (Railway) Line, over the Wenning then along its south bank all the way to Low Bentham. It returns to High Bentham along the north bank of the river.

The whole walk is mostly level and easy walking along a picturesque river that’s often fast-flowing in the autumn and winter.

Parking is available in High Bentham north of the main street (e.g. in Robin Lane) or nearer the river if you can find a place in the street that leads down to it.
