Great to be with group of like minded. Also liked having the theist physics teacher. Sorry can't recall his name! Really enjoyed meeting all of you.

I started attending to meet with atheists and hear their stories, because the only other atheist I knew was my younger brother. Now I'm finding that these are some of my closest friends.

Met a diverse group of people with some dissimilar thoughts and opinions, except one. Refreshing really. A genuinely welcoming environment! Well done.

     A true community of freethinkers.

When Scott Rhoades uses the term "community", he means it. Religion has always been a social matter. Why should freethinkers not also need a similar social aspect to their lives? I a finding the members to be very diverse in many ways, generally well-informed, pleasant conversationalists who are ready to exercise the very human need to be involved in groups, and feel "community".

A great organization. My only wish is they weren't 90 minutes away. They'd definitely see more of us.

Seems more like it should be labeled an Atheist organization than free thinkers... but everyone was really nice and open to opinions

The group was spontaneous and welcoming (for me as as new attendee)... I was stunned that such a group existed in Lancaster (my birthplace). Though I do realize that as the years have gone on, newer people bring newer ideas. Quite refreshing really -- as Lancastrians can be insular and provincial... Generally, I have made the 'A' announcement with persons who have known me for some time. I have also made the 'A' announcement with persons that I have just met in order to have an honest conversation continue. I have generally followed Scott's quite tempered advice regarding the 'A' announcement. I can see that the efforts of the group need support. I intend to do that. If only to support with membership money... John R Spencer

Today at Habitat Restore was crazy! The parking lot was full and the store was packed. Right out of the gate Tim had us loading, unloading, sorting, stocking - sometimes at the same time! The volunteers were really helpful and certainly made a positive impact today. Another fulfiling trip to the Restore.

It's refreshing to know there are people that are still rational and haven't lost their minds.

I'm looking forward to attending monthly meetings. I'd be very interested to have each attendee talk about how they came to be non-believers, the course of their intellectual journey, and how living in a society of believers has impacted them personally. It's a pleasure to meet people who've freed themselves from the shackles of ancient superstitions and silliness.

In this county, of this state, I believe that LFS is a haven for open ideas and the encouragment of investigation of all thoughts from those common institutions, that seems to shackles the mind of progress and liberty.

Excellent, fun, enlightening without self (non-existent?) aggrandizement, or soul (what is that?) searching anxieties. A sweat-free exercise of free will (also a delusion...?!?@#$!!..?) I can't wait for next month! PS: happy chankwaanzanimas ya'all..., or not...
