EASY HIKING MATAI ANCIENT TRAIL HSINCU

Winter is coming, let’s escape from taipei and go to the south Hsincu county. This hiking is pretty easy only few stairs for climbing then we will walk on the natural path (rocky mountain and a lot of stones)

During hiking, we will be amazed by the natural area, trees, river, bridge and fancy cafe on the top.

Transportation : this time we will take high speed rail (THSR) because i dont know the other transportation to neiwan station from Taipei. The price will be a little bit much.

09.30 : meeting at taipei main station high speed rail station. We will take THSR at 09.46

09.46-10.21 : taking THSR
(No time for toilet, after arrive we have to reach the local train soon)
10.29- 10.33 : taking local train from liujia station to zhuzhong.
10.52-11.34 : taking train to Neiwan station

11.35-12.30 : lunch at neiwan old street
12.30-13.00 : walking to matai trail
13.00-14.30 : hiking matai trail
14.30-15.30 : afternoon tea at cafe or snack time outside around the cafe (if you dont want to buy something in the cafe)

15.30 - 16.30 : going down to neiwan station
16.47 - 17.30 : taking train to zhuzhong
17.34 - 17.48 : Hsincu train station

18.00 -19.30 : dinner around Hsincu station
20.00 : taking bus to taipei main station

What should you bring?
1 wearing suitable and warm clothes
2. Wearing suitable shoes (for Rocky Mountain) no slipper or sandals
3. Easy card / yoyo card around 300 NTD for bus and train

Expenses

1. Transportation to hsincu around 380 NTD
2. Transportation to taipei main station around 200 NTD
3. Lunch 100-200
4. Dinner 200-300 (optional)
