What you get: A great opportunity to make new friends and practise your foreign language. Food and drink are also provided

~FAQ~

Q: My native language isn't English, Korean, Japanese or Chinese, can I still come?
A: Our community is mostly native or proficient speakers of those four languages and they are the languages we support people to speak and learn. If you are not a proficient speaker of one of these, you may find yourself a bit left out. You're still welcome to join, though it may not be the best exchange for you.

Q: Can I turn up late? Can I leave early?

A: Yup! The event is casual and you are welcome to arrive and leave when you like, though we recommend arriving early to find a good seat.

Q: Are you teachers? Is this a formal class?

A: Nope! We are all volunteers and language learners. Some of us may coincidentally be teachers but we really don't come to teach - we come to talk, laugh and make friends!

Language Connection upholds Community Guidelines for volunteers, guests and participants. The guidelines outline our minimum standards of behaviour and also our response to harassment within and outside our events.

If we find you have breached the community guidelines, or if we reasonably believe you will not observe the guidelines, then we will ask you to leave our event and reserve the right to permanently ban you from returning.
