    This being the day before Christmas, I suppose this book review is timely. The only thing wrong is the bit about the 1920's "Torches of Liberty" which really harks back to the 1918 "Freedom Torches" (both about cigarettes) where all this deception began. Still, it IS possible to avoid the vast majority of direct and stealth advertising: stop watching TV as I did in 1990.
