Attention Lurkers and Procrastinators:
First off, if you haven't RSVPed for this event, DO IT NOW! and plan to be there. This is one of the BEST events of the year if you enjoy outdoor portraiture. There are over 300 members in this group and only 27 have RSVPed. Quit lurking and come on out and join us!!
Now for those of you who have replied here are some updates:
The forecast says there will be some T-Storms in the afternoon but by around 5:00 it should clear out and be a 0% precipitation! So don't let the afternoon rain change your plans.
This is a portrait session. Bring a 50+mm lens if you have it. Kit lens are OK. This is not about using strobes so leave them at home. The emphasis of this meetup is controlling and managing natural light. Reflectors are legal including pop panels, cardboard panels even a white sheet. Anything that will block, bounce and shape the sun light. You won't need a tripod. They will just get in the way of others trying to shoot.
Our model list is looking good but there can never be too many pretty faces to photograph. I have at least three experienced models coming and a half dozen amateurs including men, women and children.
Contact me if there are any questions. Keep in mind the easiest way to Turner Dodge house ( I think ) is come up Turner from Grand River. Take a LEFT at the first real street. It's called Dodge River. It's at the end of the brick condos. Just follow that street back to the large parking lot. Plan on being there no later than 6:30.
