What we're about

My name is Sara and I've being hiking for over 4 years to red rock canyon, Mount Charleston, Lake Mead, Bryce, and Zion National parks. I'm a CPR & FIRST AID CERTIFY. To be part of this group all you need is to have the spirit.

Please always read the entire description on any events we post which includes this posting. It will save you a headache.

Please only people over the age of 18, unless the hiking or trip says otherwise. . The fun part to belong to this site is to do other activities too. I promise you that we'll have the best time hiking, while we meet new friends. So lets start exploring new places together. If you're new to hiking, believe me that you won't regret joining this team. I'm always open for suggestions, if you feel you want to do something else e.g. Movies, road trips, camping, or any other outdoor activity just shoot me an email and we'll try to accommodate a date. I love fiction as preference but no horror.

Although the meetup is free of charge to you; don't forget that the Organizer to this or any other meetup has to pay an annual fee to keep the website active. Besides, your organizers spent hours doing research and organizing events for you, all you do is just RSVP to those events. Therefore, I will be asking for an annual membership fee of $10; your guest do not ever have to pay for the membership, just you. Any other contribution you give will be appreciated. This is not a profit organization, so the rest of the money collected will be use to help with rides or provide backpacks to those hikers who cannot afford them.

Please bring $10 cash to your first meetup with us and give it to your organizer on that day. Thank you for your understanding

Please put a picture of yourself... We are all adults and if I'm going in a hike with you, I don't want to be looking for a dog or your idol. I won't accept anyone with an inappropriate photo or with no personal names. This is not a dating site but a group of individuals who enjoy participating hiking and doing other healthy activities together. I won't even reply back why you are not been accepted. You should know why. And answer the questions with complete sentences., this is not a multiple choice question where you'll just type yes or no. I'll approve only with complete answers and a picture of yourself. If you were not accepted, please go back and check your profile and it will tell you why. Feel free to re-apply again with the correct and appropriate answers. Also I need for you to email me your full name with a contact name and relationship, phone numbers, if you're allergic to anything, and if you're taking any medications. All this information will help search and rescue in case of an emergency.

At the very bottom of this information you will find the "Liability Form", It is your responsibility to copy and paste on a pdf file and print the form. You will need that Liability form on your first hike with us. I won't be taking anyone without that form. I will have hard copies for $1. YOur choice to do it yourself or pay a $1

If I decline you, might be because you didn't comply with the requirements, but you're always welcome to try again with complete information. I cannot be sending individual messages. Remember, this is not my only life, I Also work and have family. I'll appreciate your response.

Please always know that you are responsible for your own safety as for those who accompany you to any meetup or activities we do together. Your organizer or host is not responsible in any way if anything would happen to you or your guests. Please take the same precaution you would if hiking alone. By becoming part of this meetup, you acknowledge that you have had read the entire description and agree to the terms given above. Safety depends on your good judgment.

Your organizer/host cannot be liable in any way if anything happens to you or your guests (like, body injury or even death). We are all adults and know what we are signing up to. You cannot bring any lawsuits against this meetup or organizers.

Let's start to make this meetup a fun one. You know you can belong to different meetups, the more meetups you become members with., the more choices you'll have.

Welcome and let's start to enjoy Vegas.

Angels Landing (Zion)(No Beginners)

Cannery Casino (a few blocks west of I-15)

Please read all the description before signing up to this hike. And you must bring your hard copy of the Liability Form with you on this day. Even if you Already gave me one. They all expired within one year from your previous one. Also, I can only have a group of 12. It's the park's policy. If you haven't yet pay your annual fees for the amount of $10, please bring exact amount to this hike or other you do with me. Remember that the money is to cover the dues for this meetup group. Thanks This hike is similar to the ones we do all the time at red rock when we scramble. It has chains for those who need the extra help. If nobody gets sick during our hike, we should be back in town earlier than anticipated. No guests to this hike... if you have someone else who wants to come with us, have he or she to join this meetup and let them read and be aware of the upcoming event. Angels Landing is World Famous fun hike! 6 mile round trip hike with major exposure! Mostly paved trail with class 4 exposed scrambling the last 1/2 mile to the top. When at the top you will be looking straight down over 1500 feet. If you fall from the cliff, you won't survive. You must know your limits. I will be driving and taking up to 3 fun adventurers with me. Let me know if you can drive (325 miles round trip). Please tip your driver $20 (based on # of passengers and type of vehicle) per hiker. Remember that your driver will be driving for you and he or she will provide the vehicle adding wear and tear to their vehicle, their tires and adding mileage plus the cost of gas. You will just sit back, relax and enjoy the view all the way to our destination. We can have dinner in Springdale or St. George after the hike. Plans are to leave about 6:00 am and stop for a quick breakfast in St George. You will need to bring your hiking gear, change of clothes, 2-3 liters water, electrolytes, hat, sunscreen and money for gas, food and whatever! I suggest to always carry cash when traveling to another state. Each car will need a national parks pass or it cost that group $35 to get in the park! My car is cover. Plus share the cost of the parking, which is $15 - $20 per vehicle. To those used to scramble in red rock, this is nothing, but for the new hikers it is a challenge. A MUST KNOW: Don't sign up to this hike if you're afraid of heights. I won't stay behind with you, but we'll definitely take it slow to the very top. This hike has lots of exposure, know your limits, and know that this is a dangerous hike but not impossible. REMEMBER: Please always know that you're responsible for your own safety as for those who accompany you to this hike. Your organizer is not responsible in any way if anything would happen to you or your guests. Please take the same precautions you would if hiking alone. By signing up and attending to this meetup, you acknowledge that you agree to the terms given above. Safety depends on your good judgment. In other words, your safety is your responsibility. Your organizer cannot be liable in any way if anything happens to you or your guests (e.g., body injury or even death). You cannot bring any lawsuits against this meetup organizer/host. You are at your own risk when you hike with us. One step at a time when you scramble. Rocks could be loose or slippery. Take care of yourselves. See you on the hike... Sara
