LVMC Presents: Via Ferrata Adventures in the Dolomites with Parker Wolf

Join Parker for a presentation on one of Europe's most spectacular trekking routes: the Alta Via 4 in the Dolomites of northern Italy. The Dolomites offer a unique combination of stunning views, adventure, and quaint mountain huts, unlike anything in the United States.

This high alpine journey combines classic hut-to-hut hiking with thrilling via ferrata routes. The talk will detail how hikers use steel cables, ladders, and iron rungs to traverse the rugged landscape, offering an incredible and unique experience. The presentation will share highlights from the trek, including photos of the stunning scenery, the most exhilarating via ferrata sections, and the charming mountain huts used for accommodation.

The talk will also go over key logistics such as route planning, essential gear, optimal timing, and what to expect on the trail.

LVMC presentations are held in the community meeting room at REI in Boca Park at 7 pm. LVMC meetings are the 4th Wednesday of the month.
