Laughter Yoga is all about laughing for no reason. You don't need to find anything funny with your mind, but you just pretend to laugh just the way we learned to laugh in the first place. Saying that though I find it really amusing and entertaining. It is quite liberating to use your imagination and act playfully whilst laughing along in a room filled with adults. It's really great to join together (yoga) for the purpose of messing about and having a giggle. It really brings a deep sense of connectedness between everyone and is very uplifting altogether.
Laughter Yoga is a great alternative approach to dealing with depression. To be in a room with a room full of giggling adults and only have to pretend to laugh with no pressure of having to really laugh is quite therapeutic.
Even hearing the sound of people laughing can trigger your body to release endorphins.
Practising laughing can also be used as a method of pain relief and prevention of illness.
