Workshop Series- Shift Happens: Exploration - Aha! Approach

By special request, this is a repeat presentation of the "The Aha! Approach".

“Your Vision will become clear only when you look into your Heart ... Who looks inside, Awakens.”

Our beliefs color our perceptions very much like what happens to us in a dream when we are asleep. You believe the experience you are having within this dream world is really happening to you. You might be having the nightmarish experience that your life is in danger and feel all of the corresponding emotions of fear in your mind and the automatic responses transferred by your feelings to every part of your body.  When you are in a dream you are unable to determine the difference between what is real and what is imagined, so it appears completely real. But then you awaken from the dream and become consciously aware of the surrounding environment, the real world.  You begin to examine the dream through a different colored lens, from the perspective of sitting up in the safety of your bed in an awakened consciously aware state.  With that shift in perspective you immediately reexamine your feelings and drop your fear and the belief that you are in danger and begin to see it for what it really was, …a dream.

Your ability to shift perspective, change your lenses, as opposed to changing the world, enables you to have a sort of transcendent experience which is independent of life events and circumstances.

Changing your lenses creates a shift in the context through which you perceive the world, causing all the contents in your life to change. If you look though red-tinted lenses you will see a red world. Even if you hold a blue feather in your hand, you will not perceive it as blue, but purple.

This means you have the power within to reexamine your beliefs and your relationship with everything you experience in the world.

By using everyday situations and guiding you through thought experiments and exercises, this session is filled with valuable ideas interwoven with inspiring messages, and visual aids.

"Donald does an excellent job of peeling back the layers and revealing the disconnects in much of our thinking, beliefs, desires, and choices--contradictory beliefs held at the same time with no apparent awareness."

"Once you have seen your own mind with the filtered lenses removed, it is impossible to remain the same. That is why so many have praised Donald Carty's work as being absolutely life-changing."

We live in social systems—families and neighborhoods, offices and nations—that call for continuous, complex interconnection. Any person who undergoes a dramatic shift creates a ripple effect, requiring change from others around her.

The fact that you're here, reading this, suggests that you're inclined toward personal growth. I'm guessing you've been this way for years, whether it's a trait you celebrate every day or a dirty secret you ruminate over while at work with your co-workers or at home with your family. The problem, as you may have noticed, is that not everyone you know, love, or work with is overjoyed to tread the path of change along with you.

So, come and take a short walk with me and others of like mind, as we tread the path further into the mysteries of the lived experience of our sensations, thoughts,  and  feelings.

So I will miss this one too. I had my baby on Saturday! Will arrived 15 days early after one of the fastest labors in history. 7 lb 7.5 oz. 20 inches. Strong lungs haha! We are both doing great.

I watched the movie on my own since I wasn't able to be there on Sunday. I missed you all and hoped you got as much out of it as I did. A lot to think about with this one!
