Monthly Potluck and Game Night - Macao

  • Sep 14, 2013 · 5:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The theme this time is "Macao", however you want to interpret that into food

As always, don't feel that you have to follow the theme to attend. We are appreciative of any food you want to share.

Don't forget to bring your favorite games or new ones you want to try out. I will provide paper/plastic ware and basic drinks. $3 contribution per person to cover basic costs.

Parking: The public spaces (parking spots not in a drive or car port) go quick. Alternately I recommend going around the corner (South Lakes) to the right and park in the South Lakes shopping center (my place is literally behind the Safeway to gauge distance). Walk between the Safeway and Flipping Pizza towards the Cafesano Catering and Market, (left turn) follow sidewalk to path at the brick wall, (right turn) follow path until it turns into the street, head down the street just a little further, house is on the right.

This was an exceptional meetup that I would definitely be interested in attending again and again. The potluck was cleverly themed for Macao to match the game, and Randy, our organizer was just as clever at what recipes he picked out...including two vegan dishes (very thoughtful), a sweet-n-spicy chicken entree, coconut cookies, and a sumptuous coconut custard. And all dishes were as exceptional as the cook! In addition, the games were just as varied as the entrees...which included, but not limited to, Terra Mystica, Macao, Flux, and a whole host of other games. (Sorry I don't remember them all...there were just so many!) My condolences to those that missed this meet-up--you missed a good one!
