Bagels with Bruce

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NEW START TIME FOR FALL AND WINTER IS 9 AM GOING FORWARD.

An intermediate road ride every Thursday morning. Ride averages 13-15 mph and covers 36-40 miles.

Come out and enjoy the beautiful weather, the camaraderie of fellow riders and just clean fun as we pedal our way to Milford (Upper Black Eddy) for bagels / muffins... it's really about the food. The pace is moderate, the conversation light and the coffee & muffin - well, it just makes a good thing better. Be sure to bring money for the snack break.  Hope you can join us.

Additional Information:

1. Please park in the lower gravel parking lot.

2. If you have not reviewed the safety booklet and signed a Genesis waiver this year (2014) - please arrive by 8:30 AM to take care of this. Otherwise, please plan to arrive by 8:45 so you can properly prep your bike and be ready to roll by 9 AM.  As always, we will have a brief safety chat before we leave.

3. Our group is flexible and can accommodate riders at a pace of 13-15 MPH - no one will be dropped.

4. Here are the requirements:

*  Wear a properly fitted bike helmet.

*  Bike should be in good working order.

*  Bring a tube that fits your bike.

*  Bring a water bottle

*  Bike Safe / Have Fun

5.  Cycling Things to Remember (These will be explained at the pre-ride safety clinic & demonstrated during the ride)

*  Before Each Ride - ABC / Quick Check

*  Bicycles are Vehicles - Share the Road / Obey Traffic Control Devices

*  Be Visible / Predictable / Communicate

*  Lane Choice & Lane Position are Key

*  Scan / Make Independent Decisions

*  Bike Safe / Have Fun

Thank you.

    Glad everyone had a good time. Glad I was able to cover for Bruce. Although much slower than him.
