The Dream by Émile Zola

Details
The Dream (Le rêve) continues the Rougon-Macquart with the story of a 9-year old orphan, Angélique Marie, who is discovered on Christmas Day sheltering under a cathedral porch.
Angélique is inspired by The Golden Legend and creates a dream world of her own, convinced of her visions to marry a rich and handsome young prince.
We are now deep in the Rougon-Macquart; those who have made it this far are surely hooked. It's getting really good; we have such great plotlines to look forward to from Zola.
