Easy Pace Castlewood Hike

This is another Easy Pace Hike for people who are beginning hikers, or, who are not always in a hurry. We average 2.5 to 3 mph. We will hike the River Scene Trail. Total distance is around 3.5 miles. We will climb some very steep hills, and go down 200 stairs. Castlewood is the busiest State Park in MO. Bring water and hiking poles - if you have some. You should also wear hiking shoes with stiff soles to resist foot bruising from the rocks on the trail. It's always handy to have extra shoes and a towel for the ride home. If you have Covid symptoms please don't show up. If you aren't fully vaccinated, you are not welcome on hikes that I lead! Bring Water on our hikes. You should wear hiking/gym shoes and socks. No smoking while hiking! If you want, bring a chair and some beverages or snacks and we can hang around a bit after the hike to get to know one another better.
