Come if you live around here, just moved nearby, want an excuse to wander Hackney, or just need something to do on a Sunday.

London Fields Lido, Pool Terrace Cafe. 2pm sharp. Look for the coral pin. We walk for about 45 minutes — across London Fields, down Broadway Market, along the canal where the herons live, ending at Mare Street Market for a drink.

No name tags. No "let's go around and introduce ourselves." No agenda. Just a walk.

Light rain we walk. Heavy rain we head straight to the pub. Solo or +1, both welcome. Comfortable shoes help. About 4km, flat.
