The National Libertarian Party will hold its 2010 National Convention in downtown St. Louis at the Renaissance Grand Hotel the weekend of Memorial Day.

Many of us are concerned about the direction that the LP has been taking. When principled Libertarians stayed home in 2008, the LP delegates selected Bob Barr as their presidential nominee. This year, there is the important election of LNC officers. The Montgomery County Libertarian Committee is supporting Ernie Hancock for LNC chair (http://montcolp.org/2010/04/26/montgomery-county-libertarians-endorse-ernest-hancock-for-libertarian-national-committee-chair/). We are subsidizing a van to transport Libertarians supporting Ernie to the convention. This convention will be a blast.

The full convention schedule and registration info is available here: http://www.gatewaytoliberty.com/schedule

If you are not an official delegate, we need to get you credentialed. (Just registering for the convention does not make you a delegate.) Email [address removed] for more info.

The van will leave from the Philadelphia Inquirer parking lot in Conshohocken. (Directions: http://www.tinyurl.com/inquirerbuilding)

Estimated Travel Time: 14 hrs drive, plus 2 hrs for stops
Here is the route: http://tinyurl.com/2aoykat

Thursday, May 27, 8:00 PM: Depart Conshohocken
Friday, May 28, 12:00 noon: Arrive in St Louis

Monday, May 30, 2:00 PM: Depart St Louis
Tuesday, June 1, 6:00 AM: Arrive in Conshohocken

We can pick up supporters on the way from across Pennsylvania, Ohio or Indiana. Email [address removed] or call[masked] to coordinate a pick up.

The cost of the van is a maximum of $100 per person. Depending of the total passengers, the cost could be as low as $60 per person. The difference will be returned when we know exactly how many passengers we have.
