A life drawing workshop with a tutor for those of you who strive for absolute anatomical correctness in figure drawing! The session features 4 x 20 min poses with human anatomy explanations before / during each pose. We will also discuss the most common mistakes in figure drawing and how to avoid them. During the workshop you will be drawing from a live model. Please bring your own favourite drawing materials. This session is part of our new Saturday drawing workshop series focusing on the foundations of human anatomy with the goal of learning to draw an anatomically correct and realistic looking human figure.
The schedule for the workshop will be as follows:
10:30 - 10:45 a brief introduction to human anatomy using old masters’ drawings
10:45 - 11:30 drawing from the model with anatomy explanations
11:30 - 11:45 break
11:45 - 12:30 drawing from the model with anatomy explanations
The series will be run by Maria Kuzma-Kuzniarska, a medical illustrator and artist specialising in human anatomy. Open to all skill levels, beginners are welcome.
