Linux @ Panera Bread

We meet monthly to discuss items of interest to the Linux community. This "birds of a feather" session allows people to meet others who are interested in Linux. There are no formal speakers or presentations, but people often bring demos of either hardware or software to share with the group. We chat amongst ourselves on whatever topic is interesting at that moment. If you have any interest in Linux, please join us!

Enjoyed the OSVR 2 reveal but also wanted to share an interesting discovery today on a topic discussed with group..

Not Linux but just as important for alternative thinkers...

I can bring a Macbook Pro, but I have not experimented with OSVR on it. Do we know whether it would work there?

Hey guys, I just wanted everybody to know that I can bring in my OSVR (HDK2) in this Thursday, but I don't have a laptop that will properly handle it. It make things more complicated, the latest OSVR seems to have trouble with Linux. So if somebody can get the latest version to compile with their laptop, I can bring in the kit. Let me know by Thursday afternoon if anybody can volunteer their laptop.

I have OSVR HDK 1.4 and same problems with Linux.
I use BINO app to display a video side by side or YouTube dual view.
Lately looking at using rPi 3 instaed of their suggested configurations.

I have had it a year and battles with RAZER about using with their Forge TV.
They expect developers to solve their compatibility problems.
My i7 System 76 is inadequate as they want higher GPU from NVIDIA with Occulus Rift as goal.
Steam VR announced games but not finding any on Linux that have been tested working.

I mentioned the Mini Maker Faire in Nashua this week end so here's more info.

If you are in another area then find the closest B&N.
