Announcing a new Meetup for Nashville Live Music!

hey all!!
In an effort to not clog up your email boxes, I'm just sending out one email to announce that ...........................................................Live on the Green is back!!!! Every Thursday night from Sept 9th to Oct 14th!! I have added every night to the calendar! Band line-ups have not been posted yet, but I will post and let ya'll know as soon as I find out! There will be beer, food, free music and fun, why would you want to miss this??!!
What is Live on the Green, you might ask, well here is some info for ya!! (Some of us attended many of these last year and they are really fun and a great way to end the last of summer and celebrate the beginning of fall!)

LiveOntheGreen is a free concert series to be held every Thursday evening between September 9thd and October 14th in Public Square Plaza adjacent to the Nashville's Metropolitan Courthouse. This event will highlight local artists as well as national acts with roots in Music City. The music will appeal to a large cross section of our community and will represent some of the best talent that our city and country have to offer.

The backdrop for LiveOntheGreen is Nashville's historic Courthouse. The venue houses one of Nashville's only green roofs, calling attention to one of our city prized green features. The green roof is a state of the art structure, which sits on top of a five level subterranean parking garage and incorporates a rainwater collection system used to irrigate the green roof throughout the year. LiveOntheGreen will incorporate a number of environmental conservation practices including: recycling, composting, reusable materials, healthy food vendors, and organic merchandising. We are working hard to ensure that the concert series has a low carbon footprint, so while we celebrate our music, we'll also be celebrating our planet.

LiveOntheGreen is partnering with Mayor Karl Dean's Office and Metro Nashville to enhance the relationships between the music industry, Metro government and our community. Because of this strong partnership and the central location, LiveOntheGreen will be a high profile celebration attracting Music City's dedicated music fans. Music is a key component of Nashville's identity and LiveOntheGreen will spotlight some of Nashville's best musical talent.
