Standing on the Shoulders of Giants Value add investing is currently the buzzword among the VC community. Many investors are building out value creating capabilities to drive revenue for their portfolio companies. However, this has long been the preserve of big corporate/strategic investors, who can bring the power of their internal networks and customer channels to bear. But what does this really mean.... Is funding fungible? How many investors can truly live up to their claims of being able to provide differentiated value creation through Portfolio Development? Are some of these services more valuable for companies than others? Will the ecosystem become saturated with these type of offerings? Is a strategic offering truly differentiated? We are very pleased to welcome three highly influential global strategic investors to share their perspectives on the portfolio development space: -- Lisa Nelson (General Manager of M12 and head of their portfolio development practice) -- Nathanial Puffer (Senior Vice President at In-Q-Tel, responsible for the Enterprise Technologies Practice) -- Hitesh Saijpal (Head of Portfolio Development at Cisco Investments) -- James Stickland (CEO of Veridium) - moderator In addition, there will be three demo presentations from companies in the Cisco Investments portfolio: Demo 1: TBC Demo 2: TBC Demo 3: TBC

Is this highly fragmented industry creating needs where there are none? Are there too many security companies? What should we care about? We have a world class panel to discuss these questions and many more IT Security related topics, including: -- Dexter Casey (CISO of Centrica) -- Siân John (EMEA Chief Security Advisor, Cybersecurity Solutions Group at Microsoft) -- Julian Levy (Operating Partner at Redline Capital) -- Becky Pinkard (VP, IT & Intelligence at Digital Shadows) -- Will Sheldon (Investor at Summit Partners) In addition, there will be demo presentations from two highly innovative emerging IT Security companies: -- Blackout Technologies offers employers total control over that which employees can access via their mobile devices, including the ability to disable the camera and browser functions, and block the launching of apps on iOS and Android.
