Fracking Moratorium/EIR Rally
December 10th, 2013
Oakland Convention Center
550 10th Street Oakland California
At 5:30PM we'll gather outside of the Oakland Convention Center to raise our voices in favor of a statewide moratorium on fracking. We’ll encourage Governor Brown to rethink his position on fracking through a variety of songs and signs. Then we'll go inside to tell state regulators that a fracking moratorium needs to be included in the state's Environmental Impact Report and that the EIR must also include the indirect but very real consequences of unconventional oil and gas exploration and development.
You can stay up to date with rally developments by visiting the Californians Against Fracking Facebook event page at:
If you're a Sierra Club Member wear your Sierra Club gear and show the people of California and our elected representatives that when it comes to protecting our communities and our environment the Sierra Club shows up, stands up and speaks up!
