There are few greater seasons of television than the first year of Twin Peaks, and the PCC is showing it in its entirety over a couple of weekend nights in August (which I think are sold out?) but also in November, which is much more amenable to sitting in a cinema all night.

What, you haven't seen it? You want a summation? FBI agent Dale Cooper heads to the Northwestern logging town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of local teenager Laura Palmer, and comes into contact with a local collection of disaffected teenagers, elders with shady morals and small town weirdos - or not, depending how you feel about logs. But who exactly is the mysterious, evil Bob, who only appears in visions?

This is arguably David Lynch's definitive work, which is especially impressive given a career that includes The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive, and influenced a huge swathe of 90's TV, from The X-Files to Northern Exposure to Eerie Indiana. It also looks and sounds marvellous, which makes it ideal for the big screen.

Tickets here, I'm in C5. If you haven't been to a PCC all-nighter, it's fun - just make sure to bring packed lunch and a non-alcoholic drink with you. We can meet at the Imperial round the corner at 11pm for an alcoholic one beforehand.
