Hi everyone, we held a couple of picnics last year which were pretty fun and now that the weather has improved it would be good to get together for another one. The forecast for next Saturday 11th is good (at the moment).
The plan would be to meet at Great Portland Street tube station around 12.30 and head on into the park where we would eat, drink, throw frisbees, climb trees, perform egg and spoon races etc (I make no guarantees about the last three activities).
Regent's Park is a good location. It's central, has good conveniences (toilets etc) and nearby shops.
If the weather does turn, then we could shift activities to a local pub and book a table somewhere cheap to eat.
If people are interested I'll give out my number the day before to everyone who's signed up
Edit (by John G, group organiser): A few have asked, so I'm updating from my previous experience/expectations This is a bring-your-own-food (and other accessories like mats to sit on/cutlery/cups) type of picnic, sharing if you want (optional but nice to bring more). Noone at the picnic will be selling food to you all as a service, but of course you can bring stuff or buy it nearby on the way.
Also: Please keep an eye on updates via here/your email for any late changes on the evening before/day of, and if available, taking note of a mobile no. is always handy even if you don't expect to need it.
