Details of the venue will be supplied on RSVP, but nearest tube is Earl's Court. If you're new to the group, the general idea is that we try to get some idea of what we can play before we get together. To give new members a general idea of level, we tend to play standard chamber music repertoire, often sight-reading music that members bring along (we don't often get the chance to work out what we'll play in advance, so prior practise isn't usually feasible!). Recent things we've had a go at (with varying degrees of success!): Brahms: Piano Quintet, and 1st Piano Quartet Beethoven: 1st Piano Trio Schubert: Death and the Maiden Quartet. N.B. if you're a pianist, being able to sight-read reasonably well is a must! For regular players: we're going to be hosted at Hedley's house this time. He has a Steinway grand, three playing spaces, and a music library, so it should be a good afternoon!
