A Walk Around the St Pancras Quartier.

My number is 07815009191.

MEET: 10.45 for tea at Costa Coffee, 3 Millbrook Pl, Mornington Crescent NW1 2JA
or 11.15 at the ticket barriers at Mornington Crescent station for the start of the walk.

On this walk we'll look into the story the ancient parish of St. Pancras and how the arrival of the railway changes it forever.

Once a sleepy village just outside London, with its isolated ancient church a magnet for those not welcome in the city. In time some of London's first housing estates came here and then the railways and their great stations. This is a chance to peek inside the reborn Midland Hotel at St Pancras station and the ancient church of St Pancras.

We'll consider the pros and cons of the new developments all round the Grand Union Canal and the fate of the Euston Arch.

Finally we'll take in one of the first gyms in the country, but for Germans only and visit burial ground torn down by Thomas Hardy for the Midland Railway.

Please pay £12 cash on the day or to my account number 75471878 sort code 090128.

If you see the word 'Unpaid' by your name only you can see it. It means you have not paid through Meet up. No one else can see this; you have not been shamed as a debtor.
