Announcing a new Meetup for New to London!

What: Bank holiday picnic

When: August 30,[masked]:00 PM

Where:
Hampstead Heath
Hampstead Heath NW3
London

Hey Guys and Girls!

Escape the usual bank holiday drama in a crowded carnival and instead enjoy a bank holiday feast at Golders Hill Park.

What the place offers
A breathtaking view of the landscape with the added bonus of escaping into tranquillity, within the Water Gardens. If your also in an exploratory mood the animal enclosure and woodlands are also within reach from the Water Gardens.

Whatever you choose you'll have a relaxing chilled bank holiday. Our group will be residing in this park in the midday sun (Well we are hoping there is sun on the day!). A picnic of snacks and drinks will be available to share! So bring a dish and share it with us. Please bear in mind we advocate healthy eating so the five portions of your daily fruit and vegetables will be on the menu from us but if you have a sweet tooth by all means bring it and we can share it with you! There is also an nearby cafe called the Hampstead Heath Refreshment House where refuge can be sought if the schizophrenic weather decides to rear its ugly head again.

Where to meet
At the entrance of Golders Hill Park we will be residing very near it. Call if you get there and can't see us but you wont miss us since we will be near the cafe.

What to bring

Bring yourself dressed appropriately for the occasion!
Comfortable shoes to walk in, there are woodlands to explore and the chance to visit and view Kenwood House if the whole group is keen to see it.
Sun cream if it?s hot! and the umbrella if it rains!
Refreshments to share with your groups. (paper plates and cups provided)
Blankets to sit on and any board games to share with the group.

How to get there

Golders Green station on the northern line underground.
Turn left out of the station's exit and take a bus ride to the park literally five to ten minutes. Bus number 268. The bus stand is adjacent to The El Shaddi Christian Centre.

Make sure you bring a camera to take photos of the park and Kenwood House should we decide to venture out there.

Please note that only rsvp if you decide to come since this gives a clear idea of how much food to bring on the day.

This meetup will be cancelled should the weather prediction be rain rain and rain! We will notify you two days before the event, so please keep an eye for any updates on this meet up since it is a last minute.com event.

See you then!

Naila
