Hi Vinay

I haven't given much thought to anything other than group study should more fun and hopeful should learn more.

Given that each week start on a Tuesday (18th Sep is a tuesday) then what day does everyone prefer? Early in the week (tue/wed) means you may not have seen all the videos (Compiler course had about 90mins per week of video), Monday is almost late to ask questions. Thu/fri is always busy doing something else

Nothing to say we only have one group, if some want to meet on weekend and some on weekday evening then that may work for more people.

As for format of the evening, then if we can get pizza then pizza and maybe watch some of the videos and then, like the dojo evening, split into groups and try and do the homework. Another possibility is, if we could find someone who knows the subject then they could go into more depth on that weeks session.

Basically, I'm very much open to suggestions.

Andy - group study is great idea. I am up for that.

Any idea what are timings of the day to attend it. Or just watch video course online? Just making sure i manage office time.

Thanks

Thanks :-)

I've just found the online version of the 'other' course book 'Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs' at http://mitpress.mit.edu/sicp/ if that helps.

Out of interest, if we where to organise a study group, with maybe a weekly meet up to go over problems etc, who would be interested ?

( If anyone is interested in helping out with things like room/pizza/beer then also that would be a great help and let me know )
