Happy Halloween from London Women Chess Club!
We’re spookifying our regular Sunday social with eerie twists, trick-or-treat chess puzzles, and some hauntingly fun game variants. Expect laughter, surprises, and chess like you’ve never played it before!
✨ What to Expect:
Our venue will turn into a haunted chess haven for all ages and levels.
• 🎨 Spooky Face Painting for juniors
• 💀 Trick or Treat Challenge:
Bring along some sweet treats to share, or risk being tricked by our chess puzzles! Beware — only those who solve them escape the trick...
• ♟ Halloween Chess Variants:
♟️ Upside-Down Chess – Your pawns are one step from promotion!
💣 Atomic Chess – Captures cause explosions that change the battlefield.
🧟 Graveyard Chess – Captured pieces rise from the dead to haunt the other board!
• 🎭 Fancy Dress Contest – Not mandatory, but highly encouraged — the best costumes will earn a reward!
The event is entirely free and open to everyone.
