Come along on Saturday 15th November for a Blue Badge Guided Walk on Oscar Wilde's London!.

Blue Badge Guides know London better than anyone. They have trained intensively for two years and passed the highest Tourist Guiding qualification in the UK.

About the walk
We return to the Naughty Nineties (the 1890's) as Oscar Wilde mocks the twilight of the Victorian era. We will see the theatre’s, club and cafes where his wit triumphed.

We will follow the events leading to his trial and final imprisonment. Expect the unexpected in the backstreets of Mayfair and St. James’s.

Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), was born in Dublin and was a poet and writer. He went to study at Dublin, then Oxford University in the 1870's, before becoming a journalist in London. In the 1880's onwards, he went on to write numerous plays with the most famous being; 'Lady Windermere's Fan' (1892), 'A Woman of No Importance' (1893), 'An Ideal Husband' (1895) and 'the Importance of Being Earnest' (1895).

The walk is a private walk for the group, we will be guided by Blue Badge guides Diane Burstein and Rachel Kolsky.
