Reading Meetup (Can Xue Short Story Part 3)

In this reading meetup we will cover paragraphs 40-56 and finally get to the end of the relationship of the cat, "her" owner, his colleagues and the mysterious 黑人.

The typical format is that we each take turns reading a paragraph of the story in the language we are seeking to learn (native chinese speakers read in English, everyone else reads in Chinese).

The content is below

Full story in Chinese (text file)

Full story in English (text file)

Full story with pinyin and translations (pdf file)

On the day I will email all attendees my mobile number to help people find us.

I want to get involved in learning Mandarin, but don't know how to go about it. Any suggestions from people. I suspect this group will be too advanced for me.

Phillip - this meeting will probably be too advanced - I can suggest four places to start a) come to our monthly social meetup - usually the third wednesday of the month - that is for people of all levels b) find a teacher online and have lessons via skype - my own teacher XiaoMin is at http://http://xmmanda... - c) Winnie who runs the Chinese viewfinders meetup also teaches Chinese - her next meetup is: Finally a lot of people who have attended the group over the years have learned at the CityLit college - I don't have their address but should be googleable
