London Mandarin Learners Message Board › New Meetup: June conversation meetup
Announcing a new Meetup for London Mandarin Learners!
What: June conversation meetup
When: Wednesday, June 22, 2011 7:00 PM
Where: Two Chairmen
1 Warwick House Street
London SW1Y 5AT
We're not going to set a topic this month. The last few months we've had great conversations without having to fall back on a formal topic so this month just come and talk.
As for previous months we'll in in The Two Chairman right by Trafalgar Square. We will be on the first floor at a table towards the back. Look for a Mandarin Learners sign, and if you are having any difficulty finding us ring 07588 807957 or 078 6979 6889
Check it out!

这是我今晚说的解释成语youtube link. 如果你看一看有边，还有很多别的成语。
This is the link I mentioned which has little animations explaining chinese idioms. If you look on the right side, there are lots of related links.
This is the words list I am learning from. Just go through the whole list.. one character at a time.. Though I do learn in pairs.. it's easier, and more contextual that way.
And these other links are links that I've come across over time. Mostly idioms and poems again, because that was what I was googling for. But a couple of them are also pretty good for general learning.
This next link is a translation of the 'three character classic'. A text that chinese children memorise..
Thank you so much for this. The blog.ncicku.com link is brilliant, as is oneaday - I will need more time to look at the others.
In return, the only sites not amongst the ones you have listed here that I would recommend are:
http://ir.hit.edu.cn/... (extremely geeky page recommended by my teacher - breaks down a chinese sentence into its grammatical structure)
http://www.subom.com/... (a site from where you can download subtitles of programmes and movies).
For instance, Ang Lee's "Eat Drink Man Woman" at: http://www.subom.com/...
