Hi

No I am not, Brian gave that example. Having said that you could run out of customers, people may want to return back to nature...people change, fashions change :-)

Iqbal

Are you setting up a women's lingerie business?

From "want a female" ad to estimated market of "all women in the world" has the female sherlocks deducing.. :)

Btw, it's one of the greatest businesses.. You can never run out of customers (both male & female) and repeat business!!

Brian,

Its easy to  state market size, we all just go for the biggest number :-). But at what point do we go from "All the women in the world" to "Women between 30 and 40" and then drill down even further. Do we really bother, perhaps the question is Do we need to bother ?

How else would you have a compelling business case if you weren't able to define your market, describe and enumerate its accessibility and what your unique and or strongest selling points were?

And what investor would be likely to invest if you couldn't articulate that?

Hi Iqbal,

Perfect timing :) I've just finished a short "what will happen in the next 3 months" presentation for our seed investor. 7 slides in total,
3 on USP, mtk etc. 2 on product, 1 on team/recruitment, 1 on risks and mitigation. So yes, we treat it very seriously and I would suspect it's not very uncommon approach.
