Dance of the Heart is led by Karen Skehel a spiritually focused transformation coach, energy worker and dance meditation leader with a foot in the mainstream and alternative worlds.
If you haven’t as yet added dance, movement and moving meditation to your repertoire of favourite practices, or even if you have, Dance of the Heart may be your next move. It is a beautiful, uplifting and healing workshop experience of self expression for those who love to dance as well as for those for whom dance wouldn’t normally be a natural choice.
Dance of the Heart moves from the liberating and joyfully uplifting through to a transcendent, flowing, inner experience. There are no steps to learn, making it accessible to everyone.
During a Dance of the Heart workshop experience, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen and practice surrender, connection, energy work, healing, and opening to love.
You’ll be invited to dance with your higher guidance, your trusted source, your inner wisdom, your higher self. You’ll join your inner child, your divine feminine and your divine masculine. You’ll come face to face with the best of who you are. You’ll fall in love with all of who you are. You’ll expand. You’ll heal. You’ll inspire. You’ll fall into the arms of the divine. Your desired dreams will unfold in your life. You’ll be reminded that everything is happening perfectly for the highest good: You’ll see the beauty and the gift in everything.
You can expect to experience any or all of the following benefits:
• Greater inner confidence and ease of self- expression
• A closer connection with your “inner child”: the source of fun, enjoyment, pleasure and bliss
• Positive benefits to your emotional and physical health (see research at University of Leipzig)
• Healing of past emotional traumas, current stress and heartbreaks
• Ease of connecting with your emotions, facilitating feelings of aliveness
• Easier opening of your heart, easier and deeper connection to feelings of love with benefits to all of your relationships
• Melts judgement of yourself and others and facilitates deeper acceptance of yourself and others
• Supports you to bring the best side of yourself into everything you touch.
• Expands your comfort zone so more is possible for you
• Deeper and easier connection with the spiritual realm (the body is a powerful source of insight and guidance)
Dance of the Heart is a series of sessions. Whilst each is different, they all deepen and expand your spiritual practice; healing you, body, mind and soul.

Whilst her work has evolved to include a significant spiritual dimension, the videos below will give you a flavour of the Dance of the Heart she now teaches.
Her latest creation, Dance of the Heart, has evolved from many years of teaching and leading Dance Meditation which included her teaching on BBC1’s Inside Out series where she showed 3.6 million viewers how Londoner’s can have fun without alcohol and on the BBC’s equivalent in South Korea as part of a documentary on dance as therapy. (If you scroll down the page, you can see an extract from both of these programmes)
Having worked with thousands of clients both one to one and in groups over the last 15 years, she has learnt that most of us spiritual journeyers, are seeking to find pathways and practices that support us to clear our inner blocks and obstacles and bring us a life full of joy, peace, flow, love, fun and abundance (in all senses of the word).
Your Facilitator - Karen Skehal
I have a background which now spans more than 15 years in what was originally personal growth and now encompasses spiritual growth. I recently rebranded myself as "Change Agent" working “Mind, Body, and Spirit” as my work encompasses coaching, leading workshops, leading meditations, teaching Dance of the Heart (a form of dance meditation) , and offering energy work. I have undertaken multiple trainings in coaching and coaching supervision, training in leading guided meditations, training in Dance Meditation and training in energy work. I am also fortunate to have had many “claims to fame”. For example:
I have coached on relationships in front of 1.5 million people on ITV's most popular day time programme, (The Trisha Show, ITV’s answer to Oprah) and have also appeared on ITV2. I also wrote for Natural Health Magazine as The Soul Doctor and The Life Coach over a four year period, contributing a page addressing readers' life challenges every month. I have pioneered the use of self-healing coaching to help people reduce or overcome the symptoms of long-standing or so-called incurable conditions (you may like to read one of my case studies: when a doctor or alternative therapist doesn’t work, try this…
I appeared on the BBC’s equivalent in South Korea teaching my form of Dance Meditation as part of a documentary on dance as therapy, alongside facilitators from all over the world. I have also taught a session for BBC1 Inside Out series where I showed 3.6 million viewers how Londoner’s can have fun without alcohol. I have also developed a new treatment process which combines coaching and healing therapies. Named Chikara (http://www.theinnerspa.co.uk/chikara.php) (meaning “powerful” in Japanese), the process has been described as beautiful, powerful and unique by one of the UK’s Reiki Masters In 2011, I became a published author (through the Coaches Story)
Having worked with hundreds of clients over the last 15 years, I have learnt a thing or two about what people want, what they need and what works. I blend my combination of skills to bring my clients experiences that are empowering, fun and life changing.
