They're ba-ack! No, not the poltergeists. (Dodgy 80s horror movie reference.) The lovely people from Asparagasm! And this time they're bringing us a five course Caribbean feast...
Welcome cocktail (or mocktail)
Lentil and Coconut Sharp Shooter
Callaloo Fritters with a Hot Pepper Vinaigrette
Avocado, Black Bean & Corn Ceviche with Papaya Jelly & Plantain Crisp
Jerk Sweet Potato and Vegetable Curry with Brown Party Rice and Petit Pois
Banana flambé with Jamaican Allspice and Dolcetti Mango Sorbet
(Vegan wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails will also be available from a cash bar.)
So, "what is Asparagasm", I hear you ask? It's a vegan, gluten-free pop-up supper club... with a difference. There's always a theme. And invariably some irreverent entertainment. (But if there isn't, we'll make our own, right?)
The normal price for Asparagasm is £35. But we have negotiated a special time-limited discount of £25 if you pay by the 14th of March (£26.09 via Meetup; or you can pay me in cash to avoid the PayPal fees).
It’s the first Asparagasm of 2014 and we’ve created a Caribbean feast to challenge guest chef, the extraordinarily talented Fredrik Bolin, and the team at Disappearing Dining Club on Thursday 20th March.
It’s the first day of Spring so come this heavenly Vernal Equinox we’ll be celebrating the spicy and aromatic scents, tastes and sounds of Jamaica in a torch song of love for our favourite Caribbean isle.
So, Jah people, congregate yourselves this month at FIX, a real cute boutique coffee parlour on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, as Asparagasm takes over from 7pm ‘til late for some fresh tastes and sounds.
Come savour the rhythm of jerk, spice and all things nice over five courses of festive fine dining.
So don’t worry! Every little thing’s gonna be just perfect.
