London Vegan Pledge (first meeting)

  • May 19, 2012 · 10:00 AM

Not yet vegan? Fancy trying a vegan diet for a month - with help and support from experienced vegans, nutritionists, etc.?

Then sign up for the London Vegan Campaigns' "Vegan Pledge"!

Once you've registered, you'll be invited to two meetings - one at the start of the pledge month (Saturday 19 May) and one at the end (Saturday 16 June). Both run from 10am to 4pm, and take place near Old Street - but the exact address will only be supplied to those who register (see below).

These informative events include speakers, films, delicious vegan food, cookery demos, recipes, and basic advice on health and nutrition.

And it's all completely free!

If you're interested, you can find more details and sign-up at:

Please note that you MUST register via the URL above, rather than just RSVPing to this event. Otherwise you won't know where to go!

If you're vegan already, and would like to volunteer, please email [masked].

Really fun and informative, lovely pledgers, and great food :-) Spent a bit too long on hard plastics seats for the afternoon talks, a break or two would've been good, but the speakers were all great.

I think the vegan pledge was good, just some small things should be more organised better. I also found a hair in food ( african stew ). It should be more cutlery when serving the food and desserts as well.

Of course, you can always get support from members of the group at other events! But this group might be interesting too:

Viv, unfortunately London Vegan Campaign's Vegan Pledge only runs once a year. So the next one won't be for a while. But the Vegan Society runs a Vegan Pledge too - albeit mostly online. See

If you contacted Hannah at Vegancampaigns with an offer to help, or as a new vegan pledger she should have given you the venue, otherwise no it is not being put out publicly as they do not want ppl to just turn up unannounced.

Is there a venue for this yet?
