What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?

Very committed. Abolitionist, really.

Favourite foods?

Nut roasts, lentils, chickpeas, aubergines, brussels sprouts, kiwis, rhubarb, fruit crumbles, jacket potatoes, humous, toast and marmite, fruit soya yogurts, brazil nuts, most vegetable curries and soups.

Favourite London restaurants?

Tibits, Pain Quotidien. Don't know many more yet.

What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?

Where do you get your protein?

What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?

Just to connect to other vegans in real life, not just on facebook.

I am married, and my husband isn't vegan, I have 3 grown up sons, love wildlife and reading. I've wasted too much time not being vegan, so now am a passionate advocate for it.

What Carol W. is saying about this Meetup Group

Excellent. There seem to be loads of events you can go to, with people coming in from quite a distance, which encourages me to attempt to get to some others too. I've only just started showing up, as I'm a fairly new vegan and just discovering how great it is to meet others who share this ethic with me. It's very encouraging knowing so many people who care about how we treat other animals and use the earth's resources - care enough to change their diet and eat like they care.
