What's your state of veganness (i.e. how vegan are you)?

I'm pretty vegan. I do eat eggs but only the eggs that come from a specific Norfolk farm where I know Malcolm, the 'owner' (I like to call him the befriender) of the chickens I've never seen such a bunch of free-range respected birds in my life. I also would recommend this! the woman is an animal activist so I trust her eggs/milk significantly more. She says the money raised is for the cows/chickens retirement! Which make me happy. Although to be honest if I had my way I would just let them all run feral & leave animals alone altogether (for example I'm pretty much against pets) so not as soft as one might think.

Favourite foods?

Blackberries, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, shiitake mushrooms

Favourite London restaurants?

Rootmaster! Although I think it might be gone now?

What is the most common or silliest thing people ask you about not eating meat?

I'm quite a new vegan and many of my friends are vegetarian so haven't had much contact with meat-eaters since I have been in this state. You want silly questions look on the youtube vids (I know I know I shouldn't read them they're just morons, but it's like a car crash I can't not read what these wrecks of humanity have to say!)

What do you hope to get by coming to meetups?

Finally meeting some people who understand the world IN REALITY, as I do. We're pretty hard to come by. Most of my family/friends call me an extremist or say that I'm judgemental (I am, can't help it - I actually think judgement is a good thing why we're all told to suppress it is beyond me) and I want to hear some people say "Welcome! Well done! You have ticked the right boxes on both the cerebral and visceral pages! You are human!" which would stop me going mad I think.

I'm Clare from Hackney, my hobbies include a constant panic about the state of the world, petition-signing, documentary-watching, and drum&bass. But also I am very much interested in permaculture, freeconomy, and veganism.
