Join us for a beautiful circular hike through the Darent Valley, starting in the charming village of Shoreham, Kent, and taking in some of the area’s best countryside, including the stunning lavender fields of Castle Farm and the historic grounds of Lullingstone Castle.
After a break by the castle and lake, we’ll loop back through meadows and woodland with sweeping valley views.
Expect a mix of flat riverside walking, some moderate inclines, and well-marked countryside trails. The pace will be relaxed and social, ideal for enjoying the scenery and meeting others.

🥾 Hike Details
Distance & Grade: Approx. 18 km | Easy to Moderate Mostly unpaved forest trails. Some gentle inclines or uneven ground.
Pace: 4–5 km/hour with a few mindful pauses along the way
Break: Approx. 1 hour Includes access to toilet facilities 🚻
Cost: Free
RECOMMENDATION: please wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress appropriately to current weather update and bring a backpack, torchlight, pack lunch, sufficient water and cash for GroupSave train.

🍃 Be respectful with RSVPs
If you are not able to attend, please cancel in good time. Frequent No-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours) affect members on the waiting list and may impact future participation.
🍃 Attendance matters
The organiser or event host reserves the right to prioritise members who are punctual, consistent, and show genuine interest in the group’s purpose
🍃 No entitlement
Joining from the waitlist or arriving without an RSVP is not acceptable. Please honour group etiquette, arrive on time, and understand that space is limited. “Plus-one” or “Guest” attendance is
not permitted unless you have obtained prior permission from the event host.
🍃 Maintain group harmony
This is a group for wellbeing, not for debate, heated arguments, or emotionally charged exchanges.
Please respect others’ personal space and boundaries, avoid criticism or judgment, and help maintain a calm, peaceful atmosphere throughout the event.
🍃 Be mindful of group pace
Please try to stay aware of the group’s rhythm and pace, avoid walking too far ahead or behind. Coordinating with others helps keep the hike smooth and enjoyable for everyone.
🍃 No smoking or vaping during the walk
To support a clean and fresh group atmosphere, intoxicants, recreational drugs, smoking, and
vaping are not permitted during the walk itself. Smoking can also pose a fire risk in dry conditions during the summer months.
