Diana the Huntress Full Moon ritual - Richmond Park

Come join us in Richmond Royal Park, for a woodland Full Moon ritual, honouring the goddess Diana ! There is a walk at start to get acclimatised to the woods and connect to people; After the ritual, we'll have a candle-lit picnic in the woods. Event facilitated by our Ritual team, and led by Mani - initiated Gardnerian Wiccan with 30yrs of magical & ritual experinces.

Diana is a maiden Goddess, wild and untamed, Huntress, who runs with her dogs. She is a powerful symbol of female power and fierce independance . Sometimes refered to as a deer goddess and with antlers on her head.

In this ritual, we build an altar, create sacred space with consecrations and calling of 4 elements, then invoke Diana the Huntress and her energies into our circle. There will be a chance to do some personal magic for your own wishes and empowerment.

Event outline:

• We meet in Richmond park, just inside `Richmond Gate' at 5pm, and collect all attendes.
• Walking 10minutes to car park/ toilet / cafe area.
• Then a longer walk into woods - explore, some deer spotting; You can walk in a group and chat or stay quiet and attune to woodland energies!
• We find a suitable area and build altar; ( we have some regular spots). some pre-rite snacks & refreshments.
• RITUAL
• picnic & Social.
• Tidy up and walk back to main gate & bus stop
• optional: In Riichmond town centre, informal social in a local pub!

Important notes: Please do not leave once actual Ritual starts, as that can severly affect other people and energies of the event.

Woodland as Temple- Reverence & mirth:
Please be aware that we treat the woods as our temples, where we build our temporary religious altars, and our gatherings are for pagan spiritual worship & practise of ritual magic. But there is also a festive and social aspect to our events, and a key part of our gathering and community.

Help Build altar / take a role in ritual:
Facilitators will bring essential ritual tools to create the temporary altar in a suitable quiet area of the woods. Attendees can also bring their own power objects, magical tools to put on the altar. Everyone may help build the altar with logs, foliage, twigs, LED lights and lanterns, horns and any small statues brought from home.
We also like to involve interested attendees in actual ritual roles.. as we do in our full moon rituals..We provide printed invocations & words that you can read ( call 4 elements.. air, fire, water, earth; poems and invocations to the Goddess etc). Facilitators will help coach you before rituial in how to do these light tasks.

• 5pm - 5.15pm. meeting by `'Richmond Gate'
• Richmond Park Gate, Richmond Park, Star and Garter Hill, Richmond, TW10 5HU.

Please be on time at start! Once event starts and we move on at 5.15pm , we regret we can not give map locations, pins, directions etc. We will switch off from social media / phone messaging etc.. and do our magical best to be `'present' and connect to the woodland energies & people who are there with us..

Fee -----

Venue / Terrain/ access -------
These events are held in a public Open woods, with some rough terrain, and in natural weather conditions. Venue may not be suitable for some people with mobility or other physical health conditions. There is some walking involved through some wild or rough terrains through park at this event.

WHAT TO BRING ------
Essential:

• Torch light for safe walking in woods at night
• extra warm clothing & rain-coats/ outdoor shoes or boots (and ankle covered socks! ).

Optional:

• moon crowns, flower crowns, antler crowns ( real or artifical craft items).
• ritual cloaks / capes, masks you may like to wear
• small ground sheet or blanket to sit on for social.
• Lanterns / LED lights (for woodland safety, no naked flames or candles pls).
• Your own Cups/chalice to drink from (we provide paper cup).
• Food / drinks to share.

POLICY / Inclusivity --------
NO Drugs, NO filming during ritual ! No children (under 18yrs) allowed. Our events are for members' personal, magical, spiritual purposes only! Please be kind, compassionate and on good behaviour . We have a mixture of experienced & beginners at these rituals. We are inclusive of all race, pagan beliefs, genders, sexuality, LGBTQP+
