As part of my role as Events Manager at Bloomsbury, I've put together an evening event on writing well and how learning to write starts with finding your writer's eye. Exciting!
Amy Weldon's 'The Writer's Eye' (published by Bloomsbury) is an inspiring guide for writers at all stages of their writing lives. Drawing on new research into creative writers and their relationship with the physical world, Amy shows us how to become more attentive observers of the world and find inspiration in any environment. Amy will be in conversation with editor Nina-Sophia Miralles and author Gavin James Bower about developing your ideas and skills for writing fiction and non-fiction projects.
I thought this might be of interest to all of you so I'm sharing it here. I host these events inside Bloomsbury's lovely London headquarters and they're a great excuse to see what a publishing house actually looks like.
NOTE: You need to book your ticket in advance via Eventbrite to attend this event: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/finding-your-writers-eye-tickets-56484746397
The event begins with complimentary drinks at 6pm.
Luckily because you're a member of London Writers' Cafe, you can use the promo code: 'LWCSpecial' on Eventbrite to save on the cost of your ticket.
Hope to see you there.
