Hello everyone, CityLit have asked me to teach this course on what you need to think about and prepare for when submitting your work to agents and publishers.
In one day, I'll go through the process of submitting your work for publication and everything you'll need to have ready.
I'll cover knowing your market, finding the right agent for you, writing a professional cover letter and perfecting your synopsis but also answer all of your questions about how work is reviewed by publishers and what agents really want to see in submissions.
I thought this course might be of interest to all of you so I'm sharing it here.
They've asked me to cover the following:
- How to find the right agent for you.
- Identifying your genre and other books in the same market.
- An overview of the submission process.
- How to write a cover letter and synopsis.
- What publishing options are available?
- How to work with agents.
There will be a lot covered on the day and I'm looking forward to sharing my strategies. I plan for it to be a practical and informative day so come along ready to contribute your own ideas and learn from others.
