Bicycle Night Cardio

Palos Verdes Challenge

A 50 to 60 mile bike ride from Marina Del Rey to Palos Verdes. The initial 13 miles will take us through several beach communities before we reach the PV Challenge. After we reach Redondo Beach we will break off of the main path and start a 30 mile loop around PV.  The views from PV wil be worth all the effort that it will take to finish the loop.

When we return back to Redondo Pier we'll start heading towards Dock 52 and we'll grab some well deserved food along the way or at the end.

Difficulty: PV Challenge ride is for Advance level cyclists. If you have not been riding regularly the ride will be to difficult.
The route & pace are NOT for Beginners.

Routes & Pace: The route and the pace will require might start-to-finish. There will not be bailout points. Most of the route will mostly be along bike "friendly" streets, streets,  and bike paths & bike lanes. You should know the bicycle rules of the road (link below).
The goal will be to average 15-mph start-to-finish. No speed records will be broken and riders in the mood for a little extra pedal-power are encouraged to do sprints between points.

The BNC rides are intended to help build endurance, burn calories, and tone our legs but they are fun workout rides. If an unforeseen incident occurs (flat tire, etc.) we'll regroup and help out. No Rider Left Behind. However, riders must be prepared to deal with getting back to the start on their own if necessary.
