Hike to beautiful Strawberry Peak from Red Box

This hike features beautiful scenery in a relatively short distance. You'll navigate a ridge on Mt Lawlor with stunning views, followed by a short but challenging climb to Strawberry Peak. The effort is rewarded with panoramic views of Los Angeles, Mt Wilson, and Mt Baldy.
The final stretch is quite steep, so if you use trekking poles, this is an ideal spot for them. There’s also some brush along the way, so long hiking pants are a good idea.
Make sure this hike suits your experience level. If you plan to join us, please be punctual and come fully prepared with:
- Hiking shoes with good grip
- Backpack
- Comfortable clothing
- Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen
- Plenty of water and some snacks

**Directions to the Trailhead**:
After exiting freeway 210 onto Angeles Crest Highway, drive for 14 miles. The parking area will be on your right, and the trailhead is somewhat hidden on the left.
The trailhead is located at the junction of Angeles Crest Highway and Mt Wilson Red Box Road.
