Vampire LARP

I would like to get some dedicated people together to start writing and discussing a LARP (Vampire the Masquerade or Requiem) - I'm confidant that I can get at least 20 players when we're ready to start. Anyone interested should contact me at [masked] I'll need two to three narrators.

We average around 20 players per game, by the way.

20 players! That's pretty awesome! Keep doing what you do man, it seems to be working. :D

This is definitely still "a thing."

We currently have a thriving Vampire LARP Chapter of the Mind's Eye Society (a National networked Chronicle of games). We host a Camarilla/Anarch game and a Sabbat game here in Louisville.

Our next session is tomorrow, and will be Camarilla/Anarch. Show up, and we will definitely help you make a character! We will be playing at the Louisville Metro Government Building at 7201 Outer Loop, and people usually start showing up around 6:00 pm or so. We usually use the rear entrance of the building and park along the right side (if you are facing the front of the building). We would love to see everyone come out and have a good time with us!!!

If you need more info, email me at [masked], or the storyteller at [masked]!

Hey Criss thanks for updating this. I was wondering about this game's viability. I see that's not an issue and that makes me happy.

is this a thing? it kind of seems like it isn't. I'm interested in getting involved with a LARP group I am familiar with Masquerade and other white wolf stuff. I really would like to get involved if this is a real thing.

it is a thing, kinda. I at one point had 6 players and was looking for more but the location choices left a lot to be desired. needed more room and a co-storyteller. my other game posts took off sooner and I ended up with a really good D&D game group. ironically enough we just finished up our D&D campaign and switched to a WOD (new) mortals campaign. I would be interested in revisiting the idea of running a full scale vampire LARP, but I would need someone to assist in it (preferably with good creativity/story telling ability) and a better location.

Cool, so if you don't mind I'm going to send this posting into the "has past" category. That way you can start a new one with more current responses. Let me know if that works for you.

Is this still a thing? Almost three months since there's been a post and no date or location indicated. Please let me know.

Just letting all you guys know that we are still here. We have actually started a google group for this upcoming game and are actively involved in designing the game world. We are working closely with One World by Night and plan on taking this game into their organization once we have been playing for the requisite 6 months as an independent Troupe game. Send me an email at [masked] if you want to be added to the google groups list.

I do not care for Requiem... at all. VtM I have always liked. Also, I have a character that I have played for years; alot of time and energy invested. Would he be allowed for play?

Depending on the size of game you are interested in, I know of two locations. I also know of about six players who are interested. I am running a ggame for them right now and would like to expand it to more players. Either as player or (co)storyteller I'm in. [masked]

Regarding the player base, Shawn has assured me that he knows quite a number of potential players. He is currently waiting on replies from an email blast about the game and is having pretty decent response thus far. Beyond that, I move to L'ville the first week in February. I plan to make a flyer to hang at local gaming stores/comic shops and such. I also plan to hit up the OWbN groups in Indy and Cincy and see what shakes loose from that. Donnie, do you know anyone who might be down?

Hmm ... inconsistencies in the rules on the part of the ST staff can make a game difficult to impossible to enjoy. I totally understand grouchiness induced by bad Storytelling.
Here is a prelim. copy of the House Rules:

A lot of people are grouchy about house rules around here. Lol It may be more that people dont tend to keep to the same house rules though. Ive got some things typed up myself. I think you could build a good group around here with newer players actually if you could initially find them.

I know a few of the local Louisville Vampire LARP'ers actually (used to live in Little Rock with me). They mentioned that the LARP crowd in Louisville is pretty fickle. I built up my game here from a small group of noobs and disenfranchised Camarilla Fan Club players to about 45 players in just over a year ... I'm all geared up to do it again lol. I even already have a really good, and exhaustive, set of House Rules typed up. I'm just making them more user friendly at present.

Im not sure how much you guys know about it but there had been until recently different VtM LARPS running pretty consistantly but we have had a problem with regular players. A good 20 players would be awesome and I would be interested in helping to run or just playing. I have pretty much all of the OWD books needed for vampire but have never played Requiem. Let us know how things develope. I have been involved in running LARPS for a few years now just FYI. Excited to see what happens guys.

I'm in. Email sent. G-chat me at [masked]. My wife and I are moving to Louisville in late January or early February. I currently run a V:tM LARP in Little Rock, AR with about 45 players ... part of the One World by Night network of Chronicles. I am looking to get something going in my new home.
