Happy Hour: Socialism vs Markets in Columbia

Join us for another libertarian happy hour in Denver - anyone is welcome! Social hour is from 6-7 pm and we'll have a discussion from our special guest around 7:15. From there, more networking. If you haven't been by yet now is the time!

Socialism vs. Markets - which won?! You won't believe this story!!

Rich Mitchell is CEO of PIER Institute, a social enterprise that equips U.S. companies to alleviate poverty and stop human trafficking while at the same time pursuing their business objectives (i.e., profit.)

Last month Rich was working on a market-based water system with an indigenous community in the Amazon. Before they could finish, a visiting U.S. anthropologist objected to the capitalist system and persuaded the community to consider an alternate socialist model to guarantee free water for all. What did the indigenous community decide? Come hear Rich tell the story on November 20th!
