Libertarian Party of DC Calls on Mayor Vincent Gray to Resign

 (Washington, D.C.) – “How many indictments will it take before Mayor Vincent Gray does the honorable thing and resigns?  We all know where this will end up.  One way or another, Vincent Gray will not be able to finish his term as Mayor.  He knows that, those around him know that, the media knows that, and I can promise you the District Attorney’s office is banking on that.  The taxpayers of DC should be spared the costs and further embarrassment to the city that will come from the continuing scandal surrounding Mayor Gray.

“What has become apparent is that Vincent Gray’s campaign for Mayor was little more than an organized criminal enterprise masquerading as a political campaign.  Nothing about his campaign or his election is legitimate.

“The District of Columbia is facing serious challenges – challenges that we can not begin to find solutions to as long as Vincent Gray remains as Mayor.  The Libertarian Party of the District of Columbia strongly urges Vincent Gray to resign.”
