Through his extensive travels in Asia, Chef Angelo Sosa has learned to expertly extract the sweet, sour, and spicy flavors of the East. This New Year, he will share a transporting experience with the residents of Las Vegas at his new neighborhood Asian Gastropub, Poppy Den. From the austere flavors of a rundown haunt in Hanoi to the delicate composition of a fine dining restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Summerlin diners will soon have access to the world’s most stimulating flavor combinations.
Poppy Den’s cuisine is at once familiar and new, achieved through Chef Sosa’s extraordinary ability to extract simple ingredients and build them into complex layers of flavor. Chef Sosa’s goal is that with each bite the diner becomes more addicted to pinpointing taste, identifying an aroma, and capturing a glimpse of his travels.
