Good Morning SMC!

Twenty feet, only 20ft, is the fall distance considered an indicator for major trauma by EMS. How high do you climb?  16% of head injuries are caused by falling objects - ever seen someone drop a carabiner or send a small rock flying?

Do you know what to do if you or someone you're climbing with has a serious blow to the head?  What would you do if you were on an overnight trip, miles from medical aid?  The time to answer these questions isn't after the accident happens - are you prepared?

There's another Wilderness First Aid training being offered on December 17th and 18th for SMC members.  Check out the event here:  and if you have any questions, message me or call[masked].

If we get 7 or more enrollments, everybody gets a $15 dollar rebate, so share the safety and carpool down to Grizzly Island!

Play Safe,

Terrie Arnold
