SUMMARY:Halloween -- "The Masque of the Red Death"
DESCRIPTION:Madison Classic Literature Meetup\nJoin us for our **third ann
ual** Halloween meeting of the Madison Classic Literature Book Club!\n\nWe
'll be meeting at the Memorial Union Stiftskeller for a discussion of Edga
r Allan Poe's short story "The Masque of the Red Death."\n\nPlease read th
e story before the meeting. The story is off copyright\, which means you c
an easily find it for free on the internet. The library should also have i
t their anthologies of Poe's work.\n\nA variety of food and drinks will be
available for purchase at the Union.\n\nThe Stiftskeller is on the ground
floor of the Memorial Union\, next to the Rathskeller.\n\nThere is a men'
s hockey game at the Kohl Center that evening and it's Halloween on a Satu
rday night\, so give yourself extra time to find parking.\n\nDepending on
what's going on at the Union that evening with music\, etc. it's possible
we will have to relocate to a quieter part of the building. If this become
s necessary\, we will try to post an update on the Meetup app. To be sure
you don't miss us\, it is recommended to show up at or before the 6:00 pm
start time.\n\nWearing Halloween costumes is encouraged. If you're not in
costume\, you may be asked to buy a pitcher of beer for the group!
