Details
A ‘tea dance’ is a social gathering, traditionally held on Sunday afternoons, that originated within the LGBTQIA+ community. It's a place for socializing, dancing, and connecting. historically It was a way to gather before gay bars were Accepted. The "tea" part of the name refers to the early days when these events were held in the afternoon and served tea instead of alcohol, as serving alcohol to gay patrons was illegal in some places. Following in that tradition, this will be an hour-long dance party featuring Music by LGBTQIA+ artists, followed by enjoying iced tea and snacks!
